Collins Beach | February 28, 2018

Yesterday morning, I set off to the beach with some fellow hostel-mates - what a fun-filled day it was! We tackled everything from snorkeling to rock jumping, from 8 meters up [approximately 26 feet], with this crystal clear water as our landing pad! As one can see, I am really trying to fit in, or at least blend in, and use the metric system, and it is quite an interesting task :D.

Summer is drawing to an end, but the weather is still beautiful and most of my days are spent in the great outdoors. This morning I witnessed children on their way to school enjoying popsicles for breakfast, just to give you an idea of just how warm it can get down here!

Next week I will be starting work at a hotel bar and restaurant, fittingly called "Wine Bar," should anyone need to find me :) - I am really looking forward to beginning work, which should be a good way to meet more people to travel with in the coming weeks and months!

Tonight is karaoke night at one of the bars here in town, DO NOT WORRY, ANYONE, I will not be singing! It is quite entertaining, though, because this particular bar has a live band to sing along with - and as you all know, some people have talent, while others should stick to their day jobs - me, being one of the latter :D.

I will be back soon, between sun-bathing and swimming!

Ciao for now!

I left San Francisco on February 5th, 2018 for the less-known [to me] parts of Australia. I obtained my working holiday visa, which allows me 12 months to work and roam, as I please. I am without plans, which is sure to make for an exhilarating experience. Good, bad or indifferent, I know this experience will be one I take with me wherever the road may lead.
