I am still on cloud nine after spending a few days back in the States to celebrate my cousin's wedding - which also lent itself to spending quality time with some of my family and dearest friends! Congrats to LoLo and Marc - what a weekend it was!

Here is Australia, Easter weekend is a public holiday, meaning a 4 day weekend, which is quite lovely for the locals. It also means, when you live in a beach town, there are several tourists [like I am one to call people tourists :)] crowding the streets and sand. On Sunday I was at work [which is about 30 yards from the water] when the shark siren rang out - there was a mass exodus from the water, I have never seen so many people get out of the water so quickly!

In other news, I am departing for the Gold Coast tomorrow, in a van, which I will call home for the next week. I will be traveling with two mates I met at the hostel where I've been staying. One gent is a fellow American, the other from England - will post updates as our journey commences.

Ciao for now!

I left San Francisco on February 5th, 2018 for the less-known [to me] parts of Australia. I obtained my working holiday visa, which allows me 12 months to work and roam, as I please. I am without plans, which is sure to make for an exhilarating experience. Good, bad or indifferent, I know this experience will be one I take with me wherever the road may lead.
