I arrived in this beauteous city a mere 4 days ago - in that time, on more than one occasion, I have walked around to the "passenger" side of the car, which is, in fact, the driver's side here in Australia. Since then, I have been taking the ferry - there's only one dock on and one dock off, so I can't screw that up too badly.

As is true of anything new, there has been an adjustment period, but with each passing day, I find myself becoming better acquainted with my surroundings. I have spent a couple days exploring the cool beach town of Manly. Come to find out, it was given that name because the indigenous people were quite strapping and "Manly," indeed. I am also trying to acclimate to the climate change. Since it is summertime in this part of the world, it is quite warm - they say, "it's 37 degrees," where I come from, that would be a great ski day - down here, that's about 99 degrees! The conversions of everything from weight to weather are beyond me, but I will continue to work mastering the metric system - with my trusty calculator nearby.

I will be spending the next few weeks in Manly and will sign back on in the coming days or weeks. Cheers and ciao for now!

Maybe you could post a few pics of why "Manly" is so "Manly"? Awesome photos and loving the story thus far!

I left San Francisco on February 5th, 2018 for the less-known [to me] parts of Australia. I obtained my working holiday visa, which allows me 12 months to work and roam, as I please. I am without plans, which is sure to make for an exhilarating experience. Good, bad or indifferent, I know this experience will be one I take with me wherever the road may lead.
